Description: This is a matted, antique engraving, from Harper's Weekly, an illustrated newspaper published in New York in 1874. The prints in this series have text on the reverse, and are printed on what is called rag paper, an antique paper that is stronger and far more long lasting than the newspaper we know today. TITLE: THE NAVAL REVIEW -- KEY WEST, FROM THE MARTELLO TOWER -- FORT TAYLOR and fleet in the distance (See pictures for smaller text) ARTIST: GRANVILLE PERKINS CONDITION: EXCELLENT -- The prints in this series are clear, clean, and bright. No folds or tears. A really nice image. Excellent definition. Nice clean, sharp lines. Good margins. (NOTE: SHADING AT CENETR) This engraving is about 150 years old and guaranteed to be original. It is an authentic old print from the aforementioned publication, and NOT A REPRODUCTION.The visible part of the print, including the white border (if any) is about 10" x 15". Matted the print measures 16" x 20". This is a standard size matte that will fit into a standard size frame. No custom framing required.
