Description: Custom mounting bracket for mounting a 60mm cooling fan to the heatsink on Kenwood mobile radios. This one is specifically made for the TK-780H, TK-880H with the longer heatsinks, the H/HG model variant of these. This should also fit the following since they have the same heatsink - 760HG, 762HG, 860HG, 862HG Commercial use radios get HOT with long winded conversations us ham's use them for, or use as a link radio, repeater exciter, APRS, Echolink, etc etc. Keep it cool! All you need is a 60mm fan and screws, the bracket is held to the radio using two (INCLUDED) #6-32x3/4" screws that expand the tabs to hold tightly between the heatsink fins (this is the same as my Motorola CDM and XPR series brackets that i have been selling for years). The fan is then screwed to the bracket using #6-32 machine screws which easily thread into the plastic bracket, the length of the screw needed depends on the thickness of your 60mm fan, i use 20mm thick fans and 1" screws do the job perfectly. Longer screws will interfere with the heatsink fins, #6-32 screws are a common size at most hardware stores in various lengths. This is for the bracket and the two attachment screws only, NO FAN OR FAN SCREWS INCLUDED! If you need one for another model be sure to check my other items for that version!
