The MIDI Expander is an accessorie for Keith McMillen products that enables you to use your KMI SoftStep, 12 Step, or QuNeo as a controller for your external MIDI hardware. The MIDI expander provides a MIDI In and a MIDI Out that show up on your computer as SoftStep MIDI Port 2. Program your SoftStep with our easy-to-use control mapping software, plug in your MIDI rig, and you're ready to send and receive data to external MIDI hardware. This is a necessity if you would like to use your KMI controller without your computer, in standalone mode. At 4' x 1.25' x 1.25', the MIDI Expander is very compact and portable, just like your KMI controller. GUARANTEE New Gear We are authorized dealers for a number of great companies that back their products with standard warranties. We extend this warranty period for 1 year beyond the manufacturer's as a token of our gratitude for shopping with us :) We want to make sure that you don't get stuck with a lemon and will either replace or have the unit repaired by an authorized service center on our dime.
