Description: A RICH SCHEELITE ORE SPECIMEN RECENTLY MINED IN FEB. 2015 AND THANKFULLY SAVED FROM THE ORE CRUSHER TO BRING TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's right, this was acquired from the mine owner from a locale in the San Gabriel Mtns. of Los Angeles County where access is strictly forbidden. This is one of the best specimens saved from this recent lot!! Let's start this out with no reserve. Endeavoring to bring high quality fluorescents to the average collector and future displayer of fluorescent minerals! I CANNOT EXPRESS JUST HOW BRIGHT THIS SPECIMEN FLUORESCES, A TRUE DISPLAY QUALITY SPECIMEN, I'D KEEP BUT I HAVE TOO MUCH ALREADY. CHECK THIS AND MANY OTHER SPECIMENS OF BRIGHT FLUORESCENT BLUE/WHITE SHORT-WAVE SCHEELITE FROM CALIFORNIA. THESE ARE EXTREMELY RICH PIECES AND WHILE THE PHOTOGRAPHY IS SUB-PAR, THE SPECIMEN IS TOP CLASS! THE SITE IS CURRENTLY AN ACTIVE MINE OPERATION! SPECIMEN MINED IN February 2015 FROM RECENT UNDERGROUND OPERATIONS. DISPLAY QUALITY & EXCELLENT FLUORESCENT SPECIMEN!!! This specimen is an excellent example of Scheelite (fl. blue/white SW) from the Andrew Mine, Curtis Tungsten Mining Company, San Gabriel Mtns., Los Angeles County, California, USA. FANTASTIC example of this fluorescent species from this locale! The fluorescent area consists of a richly CONCENTRATED SCHEELITE in/on matrix, ON MULTIPLE SIDES, vein ore. The predominant fluorescence under SW UV light is blue/white to blue. It's out of this world in person! VERY RICH!!!!!!!!! One of the best, these were carefully hand chosen for size and concentration of scheelite. It is heavy for its size, as you would imagine. Displays wonderfully, sits upright with natural base. The size of the specimen is 3-1/2" (8.8 cm) by 2-1/2" (6.3 cm) by 2" (5 cm), a nice sized cabinet specimen. I wanted others to get a taste of a high grade scheelite ore deposit, from material rarely ever seen for sale. These specimens do not come up for sale often! I may be the only online source for this material at present. DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS OPPORTUNITY. Great to add to a competitive display. Check this and my many other offerings now and in the days to come. The fluorescent picture(s) are under SW UV light, I am using a Superbright SW lamp. I apologize for any quality issues with my photographs, I am not a photographer, but a field collector at heart. The specimens I sell are much better in person, check out my feedbacks! Do not miss out in adding one of these high quality examples of California fluorescence/mineralogy. I am an active member of the Fluorescent Mineral Society, PAST UV Waves Editor, and have been a member for over 39+ years. Although I don't feel that aged. I know what fellow fluorescent hobbiests are looking for, and will only offer quality here. I do guarantee my offerings, and as you see in my feedbacks, many buyers tell me how the specimens are better in person. PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT PURCHASING THE ITEM. The shipping on this specimen is $18.00 for domestic bidders and $80 for international bidders. I do combine auctions to reduce overall combined shipping costs for multiple specimen purchases. Payment is required immediately, and shipping is non-negotiable. HAPPY HUNTING AND THANKS FOR VIEWING MY OFFERINGS! KEEP CHECKING BACK AS I HAVE ROUTINE OFFERINGS OF VERY HIGH QUALITY!!
