Description: This is a rare September 8th, 1941 broadside (single page playbill) from the one-week, Post-Broadway engagement of the BERNARD SHAW play "THE DOCTOR'S DILEMMA" at the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (The revival opened March 11th, 1941 at the Sam S. Shubert Theatre in New York City and ran for 121 performances before going on the road.) ..... The play starred KATHARINE CORNELL and in a supporting role, GREGORY PECK who was making his professional stage debut. (Peck did not appear in the Broadway production and was hired as a replacement for the road tour. He would make his Broadway debut the following September in "The Morning Star".) CONDITION: With the exception of moderate creasing, two check marks in the top right corner and minor edge wear, this broadside is in very good condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
