There are now more than 140 volumes in the series, according to "The Internet Database of Speculative Fiction". I subscribed to the series and was buying books from the late 80's into the 90's. This book is part of this Masterpieces of Science Fiction series and was purchased new. According to the database cited above, this was the third volume of the series. The book has been read once and shelved. Book was handled carefully when reading, and binding is still tight. The book is generally in great shape with only a few light scuffs to the gilded edges.
