Torsion box has become the most widely used construction because if it’s highly versatile process, and has enabled K2 to build numerous models from entry to expert level skis. While flex and torsion vary, Torsion Box skis share the common traits of ease, forgiveness, responsiveness and energy. Core and Flex Pattern Mod functions by absorbing vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge-hold and a higher degree of power and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, allowing the overall ski flex to be unaffected. The optimum location and thickness of mass differs from men to women.
