Description: This is a nice antique Joseph Lauber signed etching print which is titled The Main Entrance, Horticultural Building and is numbered 28/100. It depicts the Horticultural Building from the 1893 Chicago World's Fair Columbian Exposition. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with the print having some foxing / discoloration in a few spots as well as the frame having some imperfections and it comes exactly as shown with a small bio on the back. The frame measures 23" x 19" and the sight is 12 1/4" x 8 3/4" An immigrant from Germany to the United States in 1864, Joseph Lauber became a noted muralist, stained glass designer whose clients included Tiffany's of New York, and teacher at Columbia University. His work is in numerous churches and institutions including Trinity Church in New York City and the House of Representatives in Washington DC. Exhibition venues included the Chicago Exposition of 1893, the Paris Salon, and the National Academy of Design.
