José Manuel Contino Pérez (b. 1933) developed his artistic work in the engraving manifestation. Professionally from 1974 to 1975 he worked as an engraving teacher at National School of Art (ENA) and from 1976 to 1978 as a professor of engraving at Higher Institute of Art (ISA). Among his personal exhibitions are in 1971 "Exhibition 30 Characters, Lithographs, Pepe Contino" at Gallery of Art, Galiano and Concordia. In 1982 "Traditions" at Provincial Center of Plastic Arts and Design, and in 1992 "Contino, from end to end". Domingo Ravenet Gallery.
