Description: The print offered here is an interesting etching by the well-knownGerman printmaker, Johann Sebastian Muller I (1715-1792) which was published as the frontispiece to the May 1758 London Magazine. The image is of "Time Instructing History" with respect to several victories by the British over the French. Time is hunched over the globe showing North America. The dimensions of the print are : height 8 inches (Platemark) 8 1/8 inches (Sheet); width 4 5/8 inches (Platemark) 4 7/8 inches (Sheet). There is an example of this print in the collection of the British Museum at No. 1876,1209.674. This print is from my personal collection which I am beginning to sell off.
