This book came heavily recommended to me by one of the quirkiest and most interesting people I have ever met, but something about it just didn't connect with me. Fans of magical realism and Pynchon should definitely consider either reading this or adding it to their TBR, but I do think the writing is a bit dense and was difficult to break into.
