Description: It's not White! Yes I know that, but back in the day they were blue. This has been my go 2 lathe for years but like most men I wanted something NEW. And with a variable speed. You guessed it, you have to change the belt to change the speed. It's not that hard but I am getting really old and just wanted something new. I don't know the age but cast iron does not wear out. Some parts do and I put a new 1/2 HP motor on it last year. And I also put in new bearings. I have a new tool rest and a spare belt too. Can't think of anything else I could have replaced. It is a 1 in. 8 TPI thread and includes a 5 in. tool rest. One drive spur and free spinning tail piece. Jet makes top quality stuff so this one will probably last another 20 years. I have used it regularly with no problems. It's a great starter lathe or a great second if you need one.
