JESSE OWENS 1936 Berlin Olympic Games Track & Field FULL TICKET BOOK **RARE**

Description: RARE RARE!! Offered is an extraordinary Berlin 1936 Olympics Ticket Book which provided its original owner with entry to Track & Field events at Berlin's "Olympia Stadion" over 8 days in August 1936. The tickets exactly match the dates for each of JESSE OWENS' FOUR GOLD MEDAL victories in the 100m (August 3rd), 200m (August 5th), 4x100m relay (August 9th) and Long Jump (August 4th). WOW! All of the ORIGINAL EIGHT RESERVED SEATING TICKET STUBS are very crisp and remain firmly bound in this Ticket Book, with their ends removed at the stadium turnstiles and retained by Olympic staffers. The original owner wrote their name and contact information at inside of front cover. Booklet dimensions are approx. 2.75" x 5.375". Ticket Book is individually numbered 11979 in top right corner of front cover and each ticket has a matching 11979 printed in red type on the front. The 1936 Olympics tickets were designed by Werner Beucke and were printed by firms specializing in producing bank securities. The primary tickets for the athletics events had a wood cut print of the Olympic stadium in the center and then different colored strips on the left and right hand sides to better assist in quickly identifying the location of the seat. There were different colors utilized to represent the 1st, 2nd and 3rd stand seats, together with standing room areas which were again different for the east and west sides of the Berlin Track & Field stadium. The numbers on the tickets designated the grade of seat which corresponded to an assigned ticket color. These 1936 Olympic Ticket Books allowed the holder to have the same reserved seat for each day of the Olympic Games, which were torn off as used on each event day. The Ticket Book's cover color matched the side bar cover of the ticket, which designated the grade and position of the seat.
