Period French 1/4 leather bindings, smooth spines, gilt bands, gilt title lettering on contrasting leather labels, paper covered boards. Bindings remain clean, tight, and sound. Really nice looking set on the shelf. Interior contents display a pleasing age patina, light scattered age spotting, both text blocks sound and tight. Books remain well preserved, any small age flaws easy to overlook or forgive. Far nicer than typical for books of this era.
