Description: Jefferson Airplane Fillmore East May 3-4, 1968 Reprint Poster (As-Is) Description Up for sale is a Jefferson Airplane Live At The Fillmore East May 3-4, 1968 poster (which originally came with a CD that I have long since sold). This poster was hung up on a wall in a frame for quite some time, and since the sunlight managed to hit it most of the time, the original vibrant colors that it once had just up and faded over the course of time. Upon taking this poster down from the wall and removing it from the frame it was kept in, I realized that it was affixed to a paper backing on the frame using nothing but two pieces of masking tape which had long since dried up, however, since the tack was still stuck to the back of the poster, I attempted to remove it by using some Goo Gone, which unfortunately soaked the back of the paper enough that this blotch can now be seen on the front of the poster; as the paper just went transparent with these orange-like chemical spirits that make up this gunk remover fluid. Perhaps it will dry over time, but one can still spot the stain towards the bottom of the poster almost in the middle of the text and whatnot (see picture #'s 8 & 10). The poster measures approximately 22 & 1/4" tall by 13" wide and I believe it was made sometime around the 2000's as a reprint of an original classic poster depicting the members of the band as depicted Egyptian hieroglyphics and what have you. Aside from the tape and the stain, the poster itself is still in great shape, with hardly any visible signs of damage (i.e. rips along the edges and/or any pinhole marks from being hung up on the wall... since it was put in a frame). It's a pretty cool poster, all things considered, and the fact that its colors have faded may only add to its collectability; as its technically now crossing the line between an antique and a retro vintage item. Either way, I'm letting this item go and starting this auction off at a very low bid. My loss is your gain, as they say in the trade... so to the victor go the spoils and all that jazz!
