Description: Offered here is a charming etched landscape of a French countryside scene by Jean-Charles Millet (1892-1944), grandson of the famous French painter, Jean Francois Millet. J-Ch. Millet lived in the Barbizon area of France and was a skilled painter and printmaker. This etching is signed in pencil by the artist and has the circular blindstamp of Millet's Barbizon atelier in the lower right corner below the image. It is also plate-signed "J. Ch. Millet" in the upper right corner of the image. The dimensions of this work are: Height 5 1/8 inches (platemark) 11 inches (sheet and backing)Width 7 inches (platemark) 12 1/4 inches (sheet and backing).
