While the record still retains some shiny luster, it may not play perfectly on your player--this is just a reality that exists. During my tenure as record store manager, many people swore up and down the record skipped on their player at home but when played in store, the record often did not skip. I let them pick out that same record again. This 78 RPM is one of a kind so that is not an option.. If you are fanatical about this, please consider this viewpoint. Records are visually inspected. Box 082318 Condition: This is always tricky but I believe this record is about average or a little better for a 78 rpm. The condition of the label is another indicator while not perfect that can tell us a lot about how the record was treated or in some instances, how many times is was played. Has surface marks and scuffs. No marks can be felt with a fingernail. Please look at photos carefully--they may help you make a decision. Record visually inspected. A magnifier tool should appear when you run your mouse pointer over the surface of the enlarged image and it will magnify that portion of the record. The record will be shipped in a box with record wrapped in bubble wrap, cardboard inserts taped over that and wrapped in bubble wrap a second time, with cardboard inserts taped over that. The interior of the box will be filled in such a way so that there is no rattling around by the packaged record.
