Description: Japanese Porcelain Vase Moriage Nippon Japan Antique Floral Lavish Decoration Description and Item Information Up for sale is this fabulous, antique Japanese porcelain vase. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This piece has lavish, raised moriage decoration in a variety of textured motifs; there are dots and slip trail patterns. The vase is multicolored with painted flowers. It has two handles, a narrow neck, and it has a tri-footed base. This piece stands approximately 10 1/16 inches tall, and it is about 7 1/2 inches long and 6 inches wide. Unpacked, it weighs 2 pounds 13.2 ounces. The center of the base has an unglazed area, as shown. This would be a fine addition to a collection of antique Asian decorative arts. Identification This antique Nippon porcelain vase, which was made in Japan, is unmarked. The exact age is not known. This is from a northern California collector's estate. Condition The vase looks very good overall, with no cracks. It has light wear overall. The moriage decoration has some minor, scattered losses. There are a few small losses/wear areas to the smooth, painted decoration. The interior has some soiling from use. The base has some residue which I have not cleaned.
