Description: This single compartment inro displays satiny patina that is achieved only with decades (centuries?) of use. The cord is relatively modern ribbon and the lid has damage that shows in the photos Use your best judgement of Japanese antiquities to determine its period of origin. This one is not like five others I listed today. This one was made to be used, not collected...yet it survives. Give it a home The last photo shows other Inro's that are for sale now. Evidently the curator of this collection wandered into antique shops as well as gift stores...The two boxes at the bottom of the photo are genuinely old.
