Description: This is a great 1931 magazine featuring stories by some of the country’s former greats. Authors include Fanny Hurst, Sinclair Lewis, George Weston, Rube Goldberg, and more. There is even an article by Amelia Earhart in which she try’s to dispel some of the misconceptions people have about air travel. Advertisements are a fun look at the past too. Warning - Some of the terminology used and ideas expressed in the stories would not be considered acceptable by today’s social standards. And some of the dialogue, serious in 1931, I found to be quite humorous today. This magazine is complete and intact. The spine has some issues and there is a tear on the back cover. There are small dog ears on the first several pages and also dog ears and some tears upper corner on the last few pages. There are no markups in the magazine. Please SEE PHOTOS to make an assessment, keeping in mind that this is a 93 year old paper magazine. A fun read and a great conversation piece too.
