Description: This is a James Sadler & Sons Ltd. ceramic teapot #4440 that was made in England. This particular one is called King Henry VIII and His Six Wives. The pot is shaped to look like an octagon from above with a point above each side to give a kind of castle motif. One side has the spout and the opposite side has the handle. King Henry is on the 2 front panels of each side with a different wife on the other 4 panels. The final 2 wives are on the lid. The set comes with its original box. There is wear and tear tot he exterior from being in storage. The pot and the lid are in great shape without any scratches or cracks. However, there is a repair done to the inner lip of the pot that you can see in the final photo. A piece looks to have broken off where the notch on the lid tips in and out. This does not affect the operation of the pot and it is difficult to see with the lid in place.
