Description: I have for sale a political token, probably for the 1880 presidential election. James A. Garfield the republican, ran against Winfield S. Hancock, the democrat. Garfield won the election and became our 20th president. This token looks to be copper, it is one inch in diameter and looks to be in uncirculated condition, but has spots on both sides. On one side of the token, in the center, it shows a shield shape with the word UNION. At the top rim it reads J.A. GARFIELD and at the bottom rim C.A. ARTHUR. The other side shows a rooster in the center. At the top rim it reads W.S. HANCOCK and at the bottom rim it reads W.H. ENGLISH.
