Description: [zipedit] JamaicaRevenue Stamp - Judicial Fee Judicial revenue stamps were originally created by overprinting regular postage stamps with JUDICIAL in black. But as demand grew for values that did not exist as regular postage stamps, around 1913 new imitation postage stamps were printed, and then overprinted for Judicial use. Those stamps do not exist without the overprint. The various issues from 1913 through 1975 utilize a small "key-type" design with the current monarch's portrait in the center. This stamp is from the second Elizabeth II issue, from 1966, with watermark "Multiple St. Edward's Crown / Block CA". The denomination is 6d, and it is printed in purple and purple (two different shades). These stamps were printed in sheets of 120, comprising two panes of 60 (10x6) with a vertical gutter in the center of the sheet. This stamp is listed in J. Barefoot's "British Commonwealth Revenues" as Judicial # 52 (2019 C.V. £2.00). This is a block of 4 stamps, VF, OG, NH. A Note about Poster Stamps and Gum: Because many poster stamp collectors are primarily interested in the image on the stamp, the absence or presence of gum on the back is of little concern. If no mention of gum is made, then there may or may not be gum present. If you are only interested in poster stamps with original gum, please inquire before bidding.
