A-2P?; 2Q ²2Q-3O? 3P4; [3Q?]; *3;3Q2-?-4D? 4E?; a-l? m? n-t? u?Four red & black printed title-pages, each with large woodcut of a ship; five full-page woodcuts, three of which are repeats on ?6, ?8 & PPPvi? and show the pope in a frame with 14 portraits, family tree woodcuts leaves on LLii & LLiii.Folio (354mm X 247mm) sized volume in contemporary full leather with tooled triple fillet borders and tooled central pattern to boards, decorated brass clasps, and spine with five raised bands.Newly rebacked with fresh label and maintaining original boards. A new fly-leaf at either end. Four parts in one volume, text is complete. The clasps being fully functional. Leather shows mostly light rubs with a few small sections of loss to rear board, and light bruising to fore-corners. Block is sturdy with leaves that are clear, crisp, and lightly age-goldened. Heavier toning to first title, a small and light water stain to fore-margin of some leaves through to p3, and a margin worm-hole from second fly-leaf to p71/72 - no text affected. First title-page and upper corner of first leaf of text both have a previous owner name crossed-out in old ink, and there is a previous owner inscription in old ink with 1746 date to second fly-leaf verso.
