Description: Vintage collar by Barr & Beards of New York (handmade in India) Fastens with a hook and eye Encrusted with heavy "silver and gold" embroidery and white glass beads. The embroidery is not shiny, but it does gleam in the light. It has a natural ripple in it and does not lie absolutely flat. Ivory satin background. Collar is 2" wide on embroidered part. It's 10" from edge to edge. It is approximately 6" across the inside. There is a protective dress-shield collar (see photos). There are no stains, beading is tight, needlework is tight. Tiny damage to one scroll (not really noticeable). Has original owner's name tag stitched onto protective back (Susanne H. Swain). Check photos carefully (I am not a costumer).
