Description: This is one of the vintage series of Kitbag guides produced by George Harrap & Co. for UK travellers and is entitled The Italian Lakes and Lakeland Cities. It was written by Arnold Lunn known for his books on Switzerland, Venice and The Alps. This book covers Lakes with much detail about the natural features. On Cities it provides detail on the famous residents and places to visit. Unlike modern guides, it does not have much detail on accommodation, customs or language. At the rear is a very clean folded up map of Italy and its neighbours along with a people/place index. This First edition was published by George Harrap & Co.Ltd in 1932 and is one of 15 books at the time in the Kitbag series. The overall condition is good with some wear and fading on the covers and spine. Inside are a number of photographs There is an inscription in pen on the cover page. Inner pages are in very good condition. Foxing is visible on the sections most handled like spine, title page and edges of the pages.
