Containers - 2 teaspoons per container TREES, CITRUS AND SHRUBS Use about 2 ounces (4 Tablespoons) Hi-Yield Iron Plus for the average shrub, working into the top 2 to 4 inches of the soil around the shrub. For trees up to 3 inches in trunk diameter, use 6 ounces (12 Tablespoons) of Hi-Yield Iron Plus per inch diameter. For trees 4 inches or more in trunk diameter, use 8 ounces (16 Tablespoons) per inch diameter -- equally applied in holes 10 to 12 inches deep around the drip line of tree. IMPORTANT: Water shrubs and trees thoroughly after application to get nutrients into the root zone. This product can be applied with a drop or broadcast (rotary) spreader. For best results, apply this product evenly and uniformly over the turfgrass (lawn) area avoiding streaking, skips or overlaps. Before each application, determine the correct amount (lbs.) of product to place in the spreader hopper for the area to be treated. For example, if the label states to apply 1 lb. per 100 sq. ft. and your area to treat is 200 sq. ft. then place 2 lbs. of product in the hopper and set the spreader setting at 10 (per table below) if using an Accugreen drop spreader. A more uniform application can be made by spreading one-half of the recommended amount of this product over the turfgrass area and then applying the remaining one-half of this product at a right angle to the previous application direction.
