Irma was backed by their classic house band and churned out an incredible session that's as beautiful as deep soul comes. Unfortunately, when a contract was slid across the table by Checker records, the ever astute Irma saw it was unfair in every way so she refused to sign. As a result the session went unreleased until the 1980's when a limited British and Japanese version was put out with a poorly sequenced track listing. Now, these sessions can be heard at last!
