The second installment of the “Irem Collection” series, which reprints Irem's arcade and home video game classics for the latest consoles, is finally here! The collection includes seven versions of three titles: the Japanese and U.S. arcade versions of “Gun Force,” the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) version, the Japanese and U.S. arcade version of “Geostorm,” and the arcade version of “Air Duel! All of them are the first consumer ports of the long-awaited lineup! "Gun Force” is a side-scrolling action game released in 1991. Players take the role of a soldier and fight their way through enemies using a variety of weapons. The main feature of “Gun Force” is that the player can ride and attack vehicles and mecha that appear in the middle of the stage, such as tanks, helicopters, and even robots, and the main attraction of “Gun Force” is that the player can shoot flamboyantly with a wide variety of attack methods. The game includes the arcade version, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) version that was later ported, and the SNES version released in the U.S., all of which support simultaneous play by two players. "Geostorm” is a sequel to ‘GunForce,’ which was released overseas as ”GunForce II. The game features two types of aircraft at the start of each stage, a fighter and a helicopter, with different attack methods, so it is important to select an aircraft that matches the characteristics of the stage in order to conquer the stage. The beautiful and detailed 2D graphics that characterize Irem's works are still present in this title, and the depiction of futuristic and somewhat dark mecha has a unique charm.
