He is the holder of the record for the longest runback of a kickoff in Harvard Stadium (98 yards) established in 1932 – versus a major opponent. Father of three Harvard ken and grandfather of for more Harvard men and one woman, making a total of nine in three generations (possibly a greater record).He has spent a career as a highly successful chief executive officer and entrepreneur, owning and operating one of the largest independent oil companies in New England. This work is partly the result of many trips to Europe and Italy where he has witnessed firsthand the many cultural glories of a great people which have come down to us. Pam Gleason is a writer, editor and photographer based in Aiken, South Carolina. She is the editor and publisher of The Aiken Horse newspaper. She and her quarterly canine publication The Dog & Hound have won five Maxwell Awards from the Dog Writer's Association of America for writing, photography and general excellence.
