Description: With a heritage very difficult to pin down, this hand-made pottery creation appears to be a canteen with the wide lip for holding a thong and drinking. Its decorations celebrates power and importance of the South American Jaguar. It is probably pre-Columbian and in excellent condition with no chips or gouges. It is about 5" long and 3" high. No other canteen with similar markings could be found.
