The medal on the ribbon of the Order of St. George the Victorious was awarded to all officers and more tender ranks of the separate Caucasian corps who acted in the Turkish theatre of war both in the Caucasus and in the Danube direction, all naval ranks who participated in the Simon naval battle as well as all participants in the defence of the Petropavlovsk port in Kamchatka. On the obverse of the medal under the imperial crowns there is a large image of two viziers of Nicholas I and Alexandr II stranding next to each other, overshadowed by the radiance emanating from the All-Seeing Eye, depicting above them.
