Description: Soft, but rugged, case for Icom ID-52. This case aims to provide drop and abrasion protection for your expensive radio. Two versions are available; one has a cutout to work with the ICOM BC-202IP3L charger and the other is fully encased (wont work with the charging cradle) but is still able to be charged via the USB port. This listing is for the fully enclosed version that is charged via the USB port on the side of the radio. The finish is a matte black but it does appear more graphite grey and is somewhat close in color to the factory antena color. Just to be clear, this listing is for the case only and does not include the radio. These were designed and manufactured in Texas. I wanted to have a soft case for my new Icom ID-52 but could only find those 1990's leather cases. I happened to have a 3d printer and figured I could take a day and just make a case. Many rabbit holes and a couple weeks later I have something that has worked well for my radio for the last several months. My wife suggested that not everyone is able to print their own and others might also want a case. So to help fellow amature radio operators I thought I would list both versions I created. One option has a cutout to allow for docking with the cradle charger and the other is fully enclosed but still allows access to the USB charging port. If there is enough demand I will make a version for the larger battery.
