Description: Ichiro Suzuki Bobblehead This bobblehead was produced in commemoration of Ichiro Suzuki's AL Rookie of the Year season in 2001 and has a gold colored base rather than the traditional green base. This bobblehead is listed as used because it has previously been displayed and because the glue inside the head dried up such that the glue had to be re-applied. There are also a number of minor discolorations and marks on the bobblehead such as on the right ear, the bat, and on the left hand and forearm. The bobblehead will be shipped securely with packing peanuts and bubble wrap and its original packaging. After nine successful seasons in Japan, Ichiro came over to the United States in 2001 to play for the Seattle Mariners and was instant sensation and superstar. In his very first season in Major League Baseball, Ichiro won the AL Rookie of the Year and the AL MVP awards, while leading the league with 242 hits. From 2001 to 2012 Ichiro continued his success in Seattle, becoming a 10-time All-Star and 10-time Gold Glove Award winner. He also set a MLB single season hit record in 2004 with 262 hits. He joined the New York Yankees midseason in 2012 in his elusive quest for a World Series and now has over 2,800 hits in his MLB career. He now plays for the Miami Marlins.
