Description: The genie bottle shape of this Jim Beam decanter has a story all its own. The Jim Beam decanters of this time frame were produced during the holidays and sold in a branded box, with no name printed on the bottle itself. After one of the show's creators purchased a decanter, it became ‘Jeannie's bottle’ and was used for several seasons of I Dream of Jeannie. The bottle would be a great gift for the I Dream of Jeannie fan, or for decanter collectors in general. Bottle is a smoky green color (appears deep gray or black in medium light) and stands 11 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches at the widest point. Bottom of bottle states 'Federal Law Forbids Sale or Re-Use of This Bottle.' (Interestingly, the law that required this statement for alcohol bottles was repealed on December 1, 1964!) Numbers on the bottom are: D-334 119 64 5. All of the 1964 Jim Beam decanters come with a series of numbers that are identical to each bottle, except the very last number. The code D-334 is the customer permit number. The 119 represents an internal factory number, 1964 is the year of manufacture, and the final number is called a cavity number. This refers to the number of the mold used to cast the bottle. A total of 16 cavities were used in the production of these bottles. Decanter is in very good to excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. Would make quite a statement in your home bar or collection, whether you are a Jim Beam aficionado or just appreciate the bottle's nostalgia, graceful lines and decorative appeal. Please note, this decanter does not have its lid and has been priced accordingly.
