The Huichol are an indigenous Mexican Indian tribe that originally relied on symbols for their written language. Their culture, rich in ceremony and spirituality, create beautiful beaded art necklaces and earrings. Each one of their beaded necklaces takes hours and days of work. One by one, glass beads were added to create this gorgeous medallion necklace. This necklace is 100% authentic Huichol hand crafted jewelry and not the imitation beaded necklace. Details:Longer style medallion necklace with gorgeous blue and dark lavender color theme and made of all glass Chaquira beads. The 8 point star is symbolic for life fertility and it wards against evil. The circle around the medallion is the symbol for Hope. Necklace Details:Large 3.25"W glass beaded medallion with graduated length dangles. The medallion is hand woven onto a black simulated leather circle. The medallion has graduated blue to light blue and white beads. Between each point, a Peyote flower bud is blooming in colors of white, pink and dark lavender and the outer ring is woven with dark lavender glass beads. Matching graduated length dangles below the medallion form the Prayer Arrow symbol with light pink lavender beads at the tips. The medallion is held by a beautiful Huichol floral beaded strand with colors that match the medallion. We have matching earrings in our ebay store.
