The quality of the workmanship is excellent and the head is in good, antique condition (there are drying out "shakes" or splits in the timber, where the timber has shrunk over time, (see photos) these are solid, with no movement). The capital has worn green paint. This is an impressive piece of work and would make a great decorative piece as it is, or be ideal to incorporate onto a new project.
