A lovely, hand-built pottery figure of a woman who sits in a dramatic pose. This very large figure features bent legs as a pair of chair legs protrude from her posterior stabilizing her. Flanked by heavily ornamented ears, her elongated head displays sunken eyes beneath arched brows, a triangular nose, and perforated ears, all beneath an elongated forehead. A large vent hole atop the head aided with the firing process of the figure. Size: 22.5" Tall! Provenance: ex-Amiguet's Unusuals, Evansville, Indiana, USA Condition: lovely preservation of form with confirmed manganese blooms across the surface attesting to its age.
