Hardwood handles with 3 large rivets (Copper or Brass - not sure) is solid and secure. The blade is nicely tapered with a nice clip on the end. Dark patina, oxidation stains and some pitting all normal and common on antique Carbon Steel blades. I cannot make out any maker stamp, but it is very old and came together with the sharpener. The Sharpening steel is BEAUTIFUL! Likely walnut handle has no cracks, fancy inlaid pewter lines and still very functional - (sharpening grooves are not worn out), original hanging ring is in great shape. Note the fine file work.
