HUGE antique Bible Illustrated Embossed Clasps Gilt Gold Silver Apocrypha Rare

Description: Stunningly beautiful Family Bible with brass Clasps (one loose) Covers are attached and spine is but the leather is splitting where the front cover meets the spine and possibly also the rear cover. The binding is fairly tight, but not tight like a new book and it probably needs some repair work if it’s going to be used. There’s wear to the leather around the edges, and near the front, there is what appears to be water damage, not recent, and not in my opinion affecting the book except cosmetically as I saw no mold, mildew or anything but water stains on a couple pages - but due to its age / relative fragility, I did not examine this extensively but simply opened as many pages as I needed to in order to take photos for this listing and I made no other examination. I did include a photo showing the worst of what I am trying to describe / what I suspect is old water staining near the front. I bought this specifically to sell but I have bought a few over the years and always regretted not keeping one of the nicer ones, especially one with clasps, so while I am happy to consider offers on this, I actually bought it awhile ago but did not list it, in case I wanted to keep it and in the end I decided that right now I have nowhere to display such a large book, and can't afford to have it professionally repaired, so I listed it as that makes the most sense - but if I haven't sold it for at least a small profit by early 2025, say Feb-March, I'll end the listing, unpack it and give it to my Dad, who does have the space.
