Description: Hudson & Middleton Sutherland China Imari Cobalt Red & Gold Coffee Cup & Saucer Pretty antique porcelain bone china ring handle coffee cup and saucer. Nicely decorated in the 724 Imari style pattern in red, cobalt blue and gold gilding. Marked on the bottom with the pattern number 724 above a red crown and Sutherland China England. This mark was used by Hudson & Middleton between 1892 and 1912. Has some minor wear to the gilding, crazing typical of British bone china, a discolored firing separation in the bottom of the cup, and a small in manufacture stacking flake to the foot rim, but no post manufacture chips or cracks. The cup measures approximately 3 3/4 inches wide x 2 7/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. IR
