Description: Very nice and well used Wagner, No. 1508 Rectangle Cast Iron Baking Pan/Cake Pan. Made by the Wagner Manufacturing Company in Sidney, Ohio Circa 1920. CONDITION: Pan is good condition, and has been very well used. Pan practically sits flat but has a subtle tic of a wobble one way diagonally when tested on a granite countertop, corrected by 1 index card. The cooking surface is smooth, but has quite a few utensil marks and some micro pitting. The external surface is in good condition with some light micro pitting on the bottom just to the right of the Logo. Lines on logo are clean and clear. This pan has some discoloration that will fill in with seasoning and get darker with use. Pan does not spin, has no cracks, chips rust, or repairs. Please see photos as part of description. ~Disclaimer: All vintage and antique cast iron typically shows some signs of wear including light utensil marks, discoloration, and minor pitting. I always do my best accurately picture and describe each piece so you can buy with confidence. RESTORATION: This vintage piece of cast iron has been carefully cleaned to bare iron and fully restored using a combination of electrolysis, lye, and vinegar. It has been seasoned with 3 layers of grape seed oil at 450 degrees for a deep, beautiful, patina finish.
