You should always buy a full coverage bra in order to avoid putting extra pressure across the breasts tissue, milk ducts and glands which are all working very hard to not only get you ready for breasts feeding but also to make breast milk. If in doubt, buy the bigger cup size rather than the smaller one if you feel you are between sizes. Also, if you have one breast smaller than the other one, fit on the bigger side as you can always put anextra cotton pad on the smaller side to compensate.When it comes to support, it pretty much all comes from the back band, so you want the band to fit snugly around yourrib cage. Buy your bra feeling snug on the tightest hook when pregnant (to allow for growth) and on the loosest hook when breastfeeding as your rib cage probably needs to settle back down after expending for your pregnancy (and you may have a few extra pounds that you wish to shift too!). Going for a looser fitting band, will NOT make your bra more comfortable as it means, you will get less or no support and lift from it, resulting in all the weight of your breasts squeezing the elastic under your bust, increase perspiration in the fold, and your breasts just rest on your rib cage.I bought a whole lot from a local shop clearance sale in order to help me raise funds for my next holiday.
