Description: Hotel Thayer vintage matchbooks West Point Military Academy NIB rare sleeve of 5 matchbooks My grandfather graduated from West Point in 1920, and my Uncle Bernard in 1945. My Grandfather returned to active duty when the United States entered World War Two. Uncle Bernard served in the Occupation of Japan, and died in a military aircraft collision in '48. I assume these matches date to either Bernard's graduation or some reunion my Grandfather attended prior to his death in 1960. In any event, they are no newer than 1960. Please see photos, as they are part of item description. Very slight crease in the cardboard sleeve. Matchbooks as pictured: no strikes, no missing matches. the Sheraton book is also unused, and serves to fill the sleeve. These will be carefully packaged and shipped per United States Postal Service regulations. No exceptions.
