Founded in 1877, Homestake Mining Company was one of the largest gold mining businesses in the United States and the owner of the Homestake Mine in Lead, South Dakota. Homestake was acquired by Barrick Gold in December 2001. Homestake was the longest-listed stock in the history of the New York Stock Exchange. This is a solid brass Buckle with a darkened background, made by Anacortes Brass Works in 1993. It is in pretty nice condition, as shown in the photos it does have some patina, but not much for actual wear and tear from age or use. This buckle measures approximately 3" x 2-1/4", it fits a 1-3/4" wide belt and it weighs about 4 oz.
