The 390 CFM carb replaced a 650 CFM that was just too much for a basically stock (other than dual exhaust and Edelbrock manifold) 302 in a 74 Ford Bronco. Slight re-adjustment to float level and set idle for a C4 in gear, that was it. 100% improvement over the previous carb. Recommended to me by an old-time mechanic that said it may be counter intuitive, but sometimes a smaller carburetor will outperform a larger one. How so? In most part due to venturi velocity in low and mid-range performance at the sacrifice of extreme top end. Yes, I recommend this product.
