Description: HO SCALEPROTO 2000 4-PACK50' AUTOMOBILE BOX CAR W/END DOORSUNION PACIFIC #161281, #161328, #161367, & #161417 New in box, 50' automobile box car with Union Pacific scheme, with these having TWO DIFFERENT LOGOS (one on each side!), allowing for these cars to have two different logo looks. These would have been seen in use during the early 1940's and later. Many modelers are unaware that the 50' boxcar existed PRE1940, by many years, where many railroads used these double door boxcars for automobile, furniture, and specialty lumber during the early 20th century (much sooner than they ever started using the single door 50' boxcar), and they were first built as early as the 1890s by ATSF! This is a great example of one of the UP boxcars and would make for a great look at a loading/unloading dock, dropping off cars from the 1940's or 1950's (what a display to have on some side track!). Note: These 4 cars are still in their plastic 4-Pack wrapping and have never been opened. The two extra pictures showing the two logos (one on each side), were added to give an example of how these cars look once opened (THE ROAD NUMBER IS INCORRECT FOR OBVIOUS REASONS). Thank you.
