Description: HO Brass Pacific Electric "Ten" Wood Interurban Coach. Imported by Suydam in 1972 from Orion of Japan. Suydam #1032. EXCELLENTThe Pacific Electric's roster of trolleys and interurban equipment included this handsome 51-foot wooden coach, part of a 45-car class delivered from Jewett Car Co. of Ohio in 1914. The prototypes were extensively used until they just wore out after World War II. Suydam imported two productions of this prototype. The first was from Tsubomi in 1968. This is the later Orion production. This 50-year-old model is in excellent condition. There is virtually no wheel wear and very little tarnish. I am quite confident that the model has been stored in this original box since purchased new. It does test run well, with characteristic gear noise from the standard Suydam spring-belt drive.
