Description: Antique 1901 book, History of the Great Northwest and Its Men of Progress. A select list of biographical sketches and portraits of the leaders in business, professional and official life, published by the Minneapolis Journal under the personal supervision of Hugh J. McGrath and William Stoddard. This large leather bound book makes quite a statement! It measures 12 1/4" x 9 1/2" and is 2 1/4" thick with original gilt edge on the 592 pages and gilt writing on cover and spine. It weighs just over 10 lbs. Condition is fairly good overall with wear on the edges of the cover and spine and a couple of minor page edge tears. Enjoy!
