Description: History of the Crusades by Michaud, 2 Volumes, Serial # 2009, George Barrie Publisher, undated. Illustrated by Gustave Dore with engravings by many. These are large Books each measuring 15in x 11 1/2in x 2in with a combined weight of 24 pounds These 2 volumes are in generally Good condition but do need some work. On volume 1 the front board along with the complete end & free paper have separated as a unit from the Book (see photos). All pages are present. The cover and spine are both worth saving. Volume 2 is still sound with scuffing at the corners and edges of both volumes. The interiors of both volumes are in Very Good condition. Most pages are bright and clean but many pages and etching have been stamped with a "Property of" stamp. Some pages have very light fingerprint soiling. The back endpapers of volume 2 have small spill stains and a chipped corner (see photos).Overall: Need (and deserve) work but are nice inside. Please see the photos for more description.
